Description
Our HST series are designed for massive amounts of bass out of very small enclosures. To achieve the latter our HST drivers are equipped with very long stroke, high motor force, motors with 3 shorting rings and a bifilar copper voice coil that is capable of 40 mm of one-way linear travel. That’s right, 80 mm of total linear travel and 102 mm of total peak excursion. Flat and linear suspension compliance is achieved by utilizing a wide soft foam surround and a three layer natural color 10″ diameter Nomex spider. Our spiders have sewn-on flat voice coil leads which completely eliminate lead tap. High-clearance cast aluminum frame is used to support the moving parts and the large 250 mm triple stacked motor structure. Large 4 AWG push terminals allow you all the wiring access needed for hookups. Last but not least is our Carbon Fiber sandwich cone and dust cap for extremely high cone stiffness eliminating any cone distortion. When modeling the HST-15 use 0.45 ft^3 for the driver displacement.

So, this is my 2nd and 3rd pair of HST 15s from this fantastic company. I ordered my first (ever) subwoofer after taking a leap on Stereo Integrity way back in 2018 and Nick was gracious enough to entertain my foolishness and slightly modify the sub to work in my first ever trunk baffle situation. Funnily enough after that experiment failed (due to me) I put it in a 2.5 cubic foot box and terrorized the mid Atlantic for a few months before finally having to pull the trunk portion of the build and sell the car. Fast forward 7 years and I reached out to him again for a special order of (2) HST-15s for another attempt at a trunk baffle build and these things are absolute tanks like they were in ’18. They laugh at the power I’m throwing at them and beg for more and more….they dig down into the devil’s frequency and provide the necessary low end nasty when it’s called upon. I’ve shared with him personally, I’m a forever fan of SI and will continue to be until either I go or the company goes…and even then I’ll still represent.
