Description

Our HST series are designed for massive amounts of bass out of very small enclosures. To achieve the latter our HST drivers are equipped with very long stroke, high motor force, motors with 3 shorting rings and a bifilar copper voice coil that is capable of 40 mm of one-way linear travel. That’s right, 80 mm of total linear travel and 102 mm of total peak excursion. Flat and linear suspension compliance is achieved by utilizing a wide soft foam surround and a three layer natural color 10″ diameter Nomex spider. Our spiders have sewn-on flat voice coil leads which completely eliminate lead tap. High-clearance cast aluminum frame is used to support the moving parts and the large 250 mm triple stacked motor structure. Large 4 AWG push terminals allow you all the wiring access needed for hookups. Last but not least is our Carbon Fiber sandwich cone and dust cap for extremely high cone stiffness eliminating any cone distortion.

This is the best single sub stage that I have ever used. These people know how to design and build subwoofers. I had my 18 inch sub in 3.5cuft after displacement sealed at that. I was extremely impressed. But what impressed me the most is when I talked to Nick and told him that I had purchased a smaller vehicle, he offered to re-build it into their 12 inch model. And it only needs .6cuft sealed, and just as impressive. Phenomenal product, and impeccable customer service. You would be hard pressed to find better.

Im running 4 of these each in their own ported enclosure and they are absolute monsters. They blow away any subwoofer I’ve tried before, and provide nothing but loud and clean output. I could not be happier with them and while there are a number of more affordable 18″ options these are well worth the extra money. I’m also able to achieve an extremely flat frequency response that I was not able to achieve previously with the same number of subs in the same locations. Also, Ive used a few different amps with them and they do perform their best when using more powerful amps. With the less powerful amp it was still good but did not have the same control and impact. Anyway, the bottom line is they’re worth the money and worth the wait.
