C7 Corvette

Description

Our C7 convertible Corvette build showcases how difficult speaker size options can be tackled with our shallow low distortion loudspeakers. The layout and size of the front speakers is far from normal and it being a convertible threw in an extra dash of challenges for a high-end build. The C7 Corvette comes with 10″ drivers in the doors from the factory so we enlarged the openings and fit our BM-11 drivers. Then we mounted two of our prototype 3″ CF midranges with 2″ diameter voice coils where the factory midranges were located in the door cards. Factory locations were utilized but modified to house our M25 tweeters in the corners of the dash. Out back in the trunk is where we installed three full range class D amplifiers and the DSP unit.

Oh, and we are using a single BM-11 in the passenger footwell area that fires Infinite Baffle into the wheel well area. So we have three BM-11’s in this install – two for midbass duty and one running IB covering the subwoofer section.
