These things are complete monsters. I was running two skar audio sdr 18s in my home theater they sounded great but was limited on x max they didn’t like the low impact scenes in movies .but these HT-18 v3 say give me all you got .I’ve been threw many subs from many brands but these will be with me for the long run .

  2. Robert Van Who ?

These are budget sleeper gems ! Just put 2 in my small SUV in 8.5cu ft internal volume sealed, powered by a Kicker KXA2400.1. I’m beyond pleased at how quick and accurate they are to be an 18. My only peeve is the fact that the website shows 750rms power handling but the box they came in has 600rms. Not sure what that’s all about. Quite frankly I don’t care. If you know how to use power wisely your not going to blow a sub. These are very sensitive compared to the Skar SDR18’S and are moving a lot more air than they did. Btw I liked the Skars sound to. If your on the fence go ahead and pull the trigger you’ll be quite happy, unless your looking for a SPL mega watt monster then move on.

I ordered two HT-18 v3 ,fast delivery got them open up and very well made. I’m using these for home theater nearfield mated with a diysg 18 cube ported sub box 18hz tuned . for now I’m just using 1 on a bridged Cerwin Vega cv 5000 and the sub took every drop coming out that amp , completely underrated . as for how they sound they sound ,there awesome very deep articulate bass. keep these subs at this price I will be buying more.

  4. Danny

Ordered one HT-18 for a home theater/music setup in a large (12×20′) living room paired with a Klipsch 450C and 160ms. The sub was installed in a custom built 4.0 ft^3 sealed box powered by a Crown XLS 1502. After equalization/room correction, this sub absolutely blows away my old Klipsch SPL-150 (which is no slouch and a great sub in its own right). Excellent for both home theater and music (largely sci-fi and electronic, respectively), massively underrated as it takes 1000 watts all day and a complete steal at $200. The only remaining question is: where do I fit a second one and will my circuit handle another Crown XLS 1502? 😀

  5. Paschal Stephenson

I’m really thinking about 4 of these for my 2007 jeep grand cherokee laredo…infinite baffle.

  6. Allen

Purchased 4 of these for an infinite baffle set-up using 2 manifolds powered by a Crown XLS2502. These subs sound really good musically and flat out play low and move tons of air. Couldn’t be more happier with the performance. To give you an idea on the movement, I literally knock pictures off walls. These are in an opposed manifold to keep vibration down and still can accomplish shaking the entire home. These subs are really hard to beat at this price point!!!

I purchased seven of the Stereo Integrity HT-18v3 (six in my HT and one as a spare) all seeing roughly 4cu.ft. per sealed enclosures. I made clones of the JTR Captivator RS2 and RS1. My two RS2 clones (dual 18″ enclosures) are wired to 2ohms and powered by a Crown XTi6002 in stereo mode which feeds each enclosure over 3000 watts rms per channel

And my two RS1 clones ( a single 18″ per enclosure) are wired to 4ohms and powered by a second Crown XTi4002 which feeds each of these subwoofers over 1200 watts rms.

These subwoofers sound AMAZING, playing the lows with authority that brings a shit face grin/smile to my face whenever we’re watching a movie or just doing demos for our friends and neighbors!!

I would HIGHLY recommend these subwoofers to anyone looking for a budget friendly DIY HT subwoofer that perform with the best of them!!!

  8. James G

Bought 1 for the 6.25cu.ft sealed enclosure I built. It’s powered by a channel of a Crown XLS 1502, for home theater mainly and I’m pleasantly impressed. Sounds clean, loud and goes all the way down with authority. I’m still working out the rattles lol. Totally can’t be beat with price point and performance

  9. Shawm

I was a bit skeptical at first… I bought 2 of them and within the first hour I knew these were definitely the cream of the crop for a budget 18… I now have 4 of them… An added bonus, is they don’t need a lot of power, so a smaller amp can be bought to power them.

  10. AVB

I bought 4 of these last year and built two 8.4 cuft net internal) dual speaker boxes for them I ra n each box in series for an 8 ohm load and then tied the two boxes together in parallel for a 4 ohn total load. this ia ll powered by a 4,000 watt channel of an FP20000Q amp Not a fake multi-K amp like a Behringer. You will hear thr difference with good amp. The speakers are stacked on the back wall. They can not only make that concrete block wall vibrate but most of the rest of the house too. dlean, more than loud enough and great impact. Probably the best $200 investment you can make in DIY Home Theater.

I rated these 4 stars because, let’s face it, there are better 18’s out there, Even SI makes one but in terms of bang for the buck – they rate 6 stars

  11. Ben

Overall, these are 5 star drivers for me. I needed an affordable option for a basement audio build. I knew I didn’t want to upset my wife when we spoke about the cost of the large boxes arriving at the house. However, I definitely wanted to piss her off with the noise emanating from said large boxes. These woofers hit the sweet spot. Wife couldn’t believe how cheap they were for the size (doesn’t matter?). She also ran down the stairs quickly after I made those speakers rattle the floor, a gave a rather stern look. Pretty sure 2 more of these drivers mounted into another pair of 4.5 cu ft sealed boxes are in my near future.
Using 2 Crown XLS2500 bridged to drive them currently off of an ART clean box, through XLR. Amps are linked with 1/4 to XLR jumpers. Better amps are out there to drive these guys, but it was what I could gather up used from local music stores. I wrote this review because I spent a lot of time looking for drivers for this project, and the reviews listed here are the reason I took a chance with a company I had never heard of. Thank you to the folks at Stereo Integrity.

  12. Jeffrey weldy

Extremely happy with my purchase and results with two ht18v3 in my living room customer service wasn’t happy with to much when emailed them few times inquiring about my daul purchase when they only sent only one at a time I was confused some caused I paid for two at the same time but in time other one shipped and made it here and no one ever contacted me about my purchase maybe they were just overwhelmed with other orders idk but for the price they sound solid super clear tight deep bass and smooth lows ‍♂️ still a win in my opinion big box for them and they will definitely deliver

  13. Todd Brooks

Truly incredible subwoofer. Great value. Will take all the power you feed them Have 2 in my Home theater. Adding a third. Unbelievable sound super deep bass tight and impactful.

  14. Jake

Surprising articulate and accurate while still digging deep. Knowing stereo integrity is related to sundown audio, I knew it was going to be a fairly high quality subwoofer, but it exceeded my expectations for the price point.

  15. Edward

The performance of the HT18 just can’t be beat anywhere near it’s price point.

I bought an older version of these in 2019 from the suggestion of the guys on a forum and built a 6′ x 2′ ~18 cu ft ported Sonotube tuned to 12.5 Hz to put in my home theatre. Even powered by a Behringer NU1000 (which I would NOT recommend for this driver as it needs more power), this sub can hit with force. Subsonic frequencies, which is what I wanted it for, can move walls, knock things off shelves, and be felt deep inside your chest.

Flashforward to 2023, and I’m super happy that SI is still putting this driver out there for a similar price!
So, I purchased another (now V3) to put in my Prius–Yes, I said that right. I built a 3.5 cu ft sealed box which barely fits in the hatch space and powered it with a Sundown 2500D which can do a certified 1500w at 4 ohms. The amount of air that is moved by this driver is unreal. Too scared to crank it to 11. I doubt it would handle the 1 ohm but it’d be fun to try. =O

Thank you Stereo Integrity. Keep up the good work!

  16. Chris

To start, i want to say that for $200 this is an incredibly capable and versatile subwoofer. Recently installed one in my wifes 23′ Camaro. Disclaimer: entire car was sound dampened, floor, inner/outer body panels, all trim/plastic/door panels, cavities filled with rock wool and block off plates to seal trunk from cabin space. After all that, sub was mounted on a 3″ thick baffle in IB configuration. Runs of a Down4Sound JP3 amp @4 ohms for a good clean 600ish watts being fed signal through a bit10. This HT-18V3 sounds absolutely amazing! find the sweet spot with the bass knob and it vanishes in the sound field and sounds like its on the dash in front of you. crank the bass knob to the right and it turns into a gorilla pounding the back of your head. was quite a bit of work but the goal was a SQ build on low power for the wife’s daily driver and I don’t think we could have picked a better driver. Simply tight, articulate, clean bass. Amazed at how good it sounds, we still have to RTA it and T/A and EQ everything but not sure it will need much. Extremely impressed with this sub to say the least. Thank you Nick for amazing products and service!

  17. Joseph Malinowski

Wow… I don’t know how they are selling these for this price. Recently bought this sub and am more than pleased. Running it on a jbl crown is 1002 bridged the low end response is fantastic and will still punch at the higher frequencies awesome sub!
