Welcome Mike!
Seems like the BM Mk 3's are a niche sub (a nice one for sure). Do you have space limitations? What size enclosure are you looking to run for your planned subs? The SI BM mk3 is .5 cu ft - vs the IDQ (just looked really quick) is about 1.25-2 cu ft. Pretty big difference. Mounting depth is the same - SI BM is 3.5" iirc - vs almost 6" So just on physical differences (depth and enclosure size) it seems like it depends on what your limitations are. Power looks like it should be plenty @ 475x1 (RMS i assume). I'm not a guru so maybe missed something obvious... But again, maybe some clarity on what you want to do with these, or where you want to squeeze them will help you decide. Didn't look at the Crystal Subs so maybe those are more similar to the SI BM's. To shed a bit of light on my reasoning for the BM's - I have an old Toyota Landcruiser FJ60 (nothing too special) that I want practical and stealth subs in. Don't want to lose a bunch of space in the back (for the dog), and don't want anything that screams "steal me!" - so i have <5.5" of depth to work with in the rear QP's. Some custom FG is in the works (eventually) and have SI BM on the way. Should work out great. Anyway - hope that helps. Welcome again and look forward to seeing pics of your setup. rob |
