I was hoping this section would be filled with Mag v3 setups, but I guess this place is waiting for all the future v4 setups.
Anyway, my current setup: Ride: 1995 Ford Mustang Headunit: Alpine CDA-7862 Front Speakers: Kicker KS65.2 Speaker amp: Massive P200.2 (100W RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms) Rear Speakers: None Subwoofer: 12"Stereo Integrity Mag D2v3 Sub amp: Massive P1000.1 (1000W RMS x 1 @ 1 ohm) Sub box: 2.0 ft^3 tuned @33Hz (peaks at 43Hz in car) Future plans for the Mustang if I do anything at all: 2.5 ft^3 tuned @ 45Hz ported box for the Mag + a Massive P1500.1 and maybe a 1.3 ft^3 sealed box and I can switch between the 3 boxes. Future plans for my other car (which will probably change tomorrow): Ride: 2007 Rav4 Headunit: probably stay stock OEM sound processor: Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 Front Speakers: Leaning towards Focal componants but may consider others Rear Speakers: Focal coaxils Speaker Amp: Sundown SAX 100.4 (or a Massive P400.4) Subwoofer: 12"Stereo Integrity Mag D2v4 (sadly, probably the last thing I buy for this setup) Sub amp: Sundown SAE-1000D (the only item I own for this car) Sub box: 1.0 ft^3 sealed box Well that 3sixty is friggin expensive..........so I may have to rethink things. I could buy the Mag v4 first..........damn decisions. Anyway, where are all the v3 setups at? |

Wow, replies
![]() About the 3sixty.2: I was in a shop that sold RFs and Audiocontrol. I actually wanted a Audiocontrol, but the one I wanted dosn't flatten out the sounds from the stock head. I thought about the 3sixty.1 because I probably won't use the most of the features of the .2. I went home and thought about it, along with thinking up more options. One of the things that makes me want the 3sixty.2, is reading all the hype about the Mag v4. As great as the v4 is in SQ, if the front stage sucks, all that SQ greatness in the v4 will be lost. But, I'm still thinking. |

I'd recommend looking into Hybrid Audio Technology.
I really do like my Focals but I think that all the hype for Hybrid does mean something. I know that I am buying some for my next setup. Horns+L6

I heard that the hype for Hybrid is due to Scott Buwalda's tuning expertise. Meaning to say Hybrids would be great for SQ but only if you're a competition winning expert tuner or somewhat close to that. I wouldn't know. Never heard a set in person before.
