Default Could I reuse my current box?

I currently have 2 JLw1v2s under my seat (vehicle is 03 f150 supercrew). Since the mounting depth between the w1s and the mag is pretty close would I be able to simply replace the subs? The mounting depth for the Jls are 5.09 inches vs the 5.5 for the mag. The box is a tight fit under the seat and wouldnt be able to fit anything bigger under there. Sorry if this is a dumb question but Im a noob when it comes to these things.

What's the inside depth of the enclosure?

i believe they are down firing, and I have no clue about the inside depth at all. If this helps any i measured the outside of the box and its about 7-8 inches tall.

Don't tell us 7-8, tell us a real measurement... When trying to fit something, 1 inch is a LOT

Kelvin

PS: not trying to be a smartaxx , just trying to help

Like Kelvin said, don't guestimate. 1" makes a huge difference (that's what she said!). Is it 3/4" material or 1/2" material?

Grab a tape measure or a ruler. You've got to have one laying around some where. If not, grab one from your neighbor.

The important measurement is from the back of the mounting surface to the back wall of the enclosure. If the enclosure is built out of 3/4" thick material and the measurement from the backside of the mounting surface to the back of the enclosure is greater than 4.75", you're good to go for a Mag v4.

But just for shits and giggles, if the enclosure is 7" tall externally and it is built out of 3/4" material (most of them are), you have an internal depth of 5.5" which is perfect for a Mag v4.

PS: It's OK Kelvin, you can say ass on the board. The cool thing about being a mod is being able to set the rules for cussing. There are only a few that you can't say. As long as everyone keeps a good tone, I don't mind a little swearing from time to time.

I measured and it should be good box is made out of 3/4" materials and the box is actually 8.5" tall I know thats not the crucial measurement but it should do the trick.

The important measurement is from the back of the mounting surface to the back wall of the enclosure!

so far you have given us 1 dimension 2 more to go! (wide and depth are also needed since you gave us long)

I calculate that each chamber will have about .8 cubed feet. How much power should go to each in an enclosure this small?
