Default Bolt hole pattern for mounting Magv4

The cutout for a magv4 is 11 1/8 I see, but does anyone know the diameter of the mounting holes? I am finishing my box tomorrow and would like to draw out the mounting holes before I make the cutout. My sub should be here in the next couple of days.

Thanks, Jim

Here's the technical drawing of the basket. I don't completely understand why you need it before hand though - wouldn't it be easier to place the driver in the box and pre-drill the holes with the driver sitting there?

PS: Everything is in millimeters.

I could do that I guess....if I wanted to do things the easy way. I am just anal sometimes. Don't mind me. Thanks by the way.

No problem.

Haha, I was just curious about doing the work ahead of time because it seems like it would be hard without the driver. However, if you want to do it, knock yourself out!

Oh, if you choose to do it after you get the driver I suggest taking off the mounting gasket to drill your holes. Removing the gasket will make it a LOT easier to drill the holes without slipping.

lol i see on your technicall drawing the cutout should be around 10.8ish lol silly chinesse made it 11.125ish lol

o and like you i also predrilled my screw holes i think i used something like 1/4inch drill or something close! i also did it on a CNC machine so i just pressed cycle start and let it rip! then i found out the sub wouldn't fit in b/c i used 10.8 cutout rather then the new cutout of 11.125 (11 1/8)

o well alll good! but i am in school and haven't had time to go back home and make the holes bigger so that means no sub for me! (do you have pity on me..lol jk i don't! i should have waited)

Like I said before - the cutout is correct if we would have had the edges of the basket shaved off like in our original prototype. Not having the edges of the basket shaved off to make it shiny makes the 10.8" cutout not correct. Leaving the entire arms of the basket makes it slightly larger up to 11 and 1/8'th.

for some reason my mag has a bigger cutout than 11-1/8". It always pisses me off when i build a box to specs and find out i have to spend minutes filing away at the cutout to make my sub fit.

Really? We just made two 11-1/8" holes for the SC400's dual Mag's and the drivers plopped right in. Most of the complaints that we hear is the gasket being a pain.
