Default Gasket/Grill question

I'm currently using a BM MKIII in a F-glass enclosure but would like to use a grill for protection. The Alpine grill (KTE-12WG) that I've purchased seems to fit well (with some minor tweaking) and I really like the way it looks but I wouldn't be able to use the BM's gasket. Can you recommend a replacement gasket that I can use between the metal sub surround and the MDF ring for a good seal or am I over thinking this and I should just 'screw it in'?

Are there better fitting options?

Thanks

Cory,

We have tested multiple grill's and have not found one that will work 100%. The metal mesh grill's at Madisound will work but they will hit the surround when the driver is at 80-90% excursion. Using the Madisound grill requires removing the mounting gasket and pressure fitting the outside metal mesh part of the Madisound grill over top of the edge of the BM mkIII's basket.

hmmm...ok. Since you've already done all the research and testing etc. I suppose it's best that I leave it without a grill for now. The last thing I want is a periodic bang of the surround into a grill. Thanks for the quick reply.
