Default BM mkIII adjusting box size for amp?

I just bought a BM mkIII and am planning my box while awaiting it's arrival. I have a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D to drive it. It's rated at 900 watts rms into 2 ohms and 450 watts into 4 ohms. I could run it into 2 ohms with the gain turned way down, I'm obviously not looking for a booming system so I think I'll be safe. Then I thought, what if I wired the sub serial and then increased the box size to .75 would I be better off? My concerns are as follows.

1. The lack of dynamic range and possible clipping if wired into 8 ohms.

2. Thermal overload if run into 2 ohms as I should be able to hear if I bottom out the driver.

Opinions?

Sorry I missed this for so long! You should target our recommended 0.5 ft^3 sealed recommendation and adjust power from there. I would run the driver at 8 Ohms to begin with and if you're not satisfied you can wire it down to 2 Ohms and see how it handles the extra power. You'll be surprised at how much performance you get with 200 'ish watts!

No worries. It wasn't until yesterday that it was getting installed. I'll start with the 8ohm load and she how she sounds.
