Default Amplifier, Box and SQ/Volume

Hi,

I'm fairly new to the whole audio game so bear with me. I am looking to get 2 bm mkiii's but I was wondering what type of amp I should run them with. The amp I was looking at is this sundown saz-1000d. I know it's a mono so could you wire 2 bm's and still get the full power ratin out of the subs? If you have any other amp reccomendations to run 2 of these on for good sound quality and high output please let me know.

And also...I have to get shallow mounts as they are going under my backseat in a custom enclosure. I will have to get someone to make the enclosure for me so what exactly would I tell them I need? And I also would like to know how these stack up to most 12" full sized subs, volume and sound quality wise.

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to be 100% sure.

Thanks for your help,
Jake

so you'll want a box that is 0.5cf per subwoofer, so 1cf in total. Either measure the space you have where you want to put the box in you truck or have the shop measure, so they know how they'll need to build the box. That amp will work well with the bm's, you'll get 1000 watts divided by the two bm's, so 500 watts each. These are sq drivers, from what i hear they can get pretty loud. From what i understand they can hold there own in sq against any other subs, but may not get as loud. 1000 watts for two 12's in a sealed box is usually enough bass for most but it really all depends on your ears.

The 1000D is a nice amp but WATCH YOUR GAIN SETTING! The 1000D is capable of a lot more power than 1000 watts and each BM mkIII is capable of handling up to 450 watts each. Just be very careful with it. The amp is a great option though - it's small and super powerful.

Thanks! Another thing, I've read about doing things like polyfill and putting down dynamat. Is it worth it? Are there any cons to these things?

We put up a video yesterday about using fiberglass insulation inside of your enclosure. You can see it here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNAPGpSmt_Y We also put a link to it on our Facebook page (the link is at the bottom of our main web page).
