Planning on running a pair of Mags off a Sundown 1500D, will most likely be at 2ohm to give each 400w, I may experiment wiring them down to 0.5ohm but I don't think it will gain me too much.

Have you considered running 3 mags? Since the Sundown only produces 800 watts at 2 ohms, but produces 1800 @ 1 ohm, I'm wondering....

3 Mags you can wire down to 1.34 ohms according to:

So instead of 2 mags getting 400w each, you'd have 3 mags, getting at least that EACH. You'd be gaining in cone area and power. Too bad I suck at the math and can't tell exactly what kinda power you'd get at 1.34 ohms.

Have thought of it, but don't think I have the room, or at least want to go all out that much. Honestly depending on the size of the box I may change up and drop down to a single. Either way 2 are on order already and should see how well they fit where I want them and will move on from there.
