Default Specs for the original BM12?

Can anyone post the specs for the original BM12's? I got a pair I bought from Low-Hz in Nov 06. I'd like to know how they compare to the new BM/Mags. Thanks guys!

There's a link to the old BM's specs on the old BM's web page:

Comparing the old BM's to the new Mag's is pretty simple: one requires a big ported box and sounds pretty good, the other requires a small sealed box, plays lower, and sounds phenomenal.

Cool thanks. Now I wonder if anyone is interested in a pair of well treated old school BM12s.

I really need a good set of subs for a seal application. Airspace wise I have roughly 1.5 foot per sub in a down firing under seat box in my truck. I was thinking mags this time around unless you think the newer BM12's would work fine with this box. Saving cash would be a bonus. Maybe I should add some foam blocks to take up some air space if needed?

A single Mag will actually work really well in that enclosure - it just won't handle the full 1000 watts. Keep in mind that's the height of what the Mag is rated at and does NOT need that much power to perform extremely well. IMO, 500-750 watts is perfect for the new Mag. Anyway, in a box that's 1.5 ft^3 the Mag will handle right at 700 watts RMS. It will perform great and still get plenty loud enough.

The BM's are a ways off still, as the focus is getting the Mag's in right now.

Would you happen to know what the displacement is for these speakers(original BM12)? I'm figuring on average of .07 ft^3.

Reason being I'm thinking of building a dual sub box for these BM12's I want to get it close as possible to recommended dimensions of 2 ft^3 per sub tuned at 34hz. I'm going of this design. I'm not sure as this is my first vented box. Would woofer displacement effect 4.0ft^3 enough to suggest altering the dimensions?
