Default Newest SI newsletter

Here is the latest newsletter I just sent out:

Quote:
Hello everyone,

It's been a while since our last newsletter, but a lot has been going on. First, we are working diligently on revising the BM mkIII to a mkIV version. The BM mkIV will be a significantly improved version with a more robust carrier and a significantly better shorting ring. The shorting ring will either be solid copper or solid silver. Changing the shorting ring from brass to copper or silver will make the BM mkIV even more transparent than the mkIII version by further lowering inductance.

We also have a VERY short list of BM mkIII subwoofers available for purchase. These drivers are mostly re-coned drivers. Only about three of them are brand new. The re-coned drivers look brand new and they operate brand new. In order to see how many drivers are available be sure to check our Facebook page, as I post updates on there as to what drivers are available.

Last but not least, I have teamed up with Jacob from Sundown Audio to introduce a new audio company – Obsidian Audio. Obsidian Audio will be a direct company which will offer both subwoofers and amplifiers at an attractive price point. The first offering from Obsidian is the 600 watt subwoofer line which encompasses many attributes of the acclaimed Mag v3 subwoofers. They utilize a 2.5” voice coil, large double stacked motor, advanced cooling system, cast basket, nomex spider, aluminum VC former, and copper VC windings. The web page (Obsidian Car Audio) is still in the works but we have a forum section on CACO here, (OD) - Car Audio Classifieds, where you can see SPL testing results, pictures, and other information. The best way to think of these subwoofers is a 2.5” coil version of the Mag v3 but at a fraction of the price ($138 for the 12” and $158 for the 15”). We also have a pre-sale going on for these subwoofers at a significantly lower cost than the latter so be sure to check out the forum link above for pricing.

I hope you all have a merry Christmas! I will send out another SI update when anything newsworthy is ready.
