Default 2 mag v4's, 2 different amps

Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering some of your opinions. I've been running 2 mag v4's off of a hifonics bxi2006d (~1300wrms (~650wrms a piece) @ 2 ohm). I recently bought a cadence zrs-8 (~750rms @ 2ohm (~375wrms a piece) to try since I love the cadence amps.

They sound awesome on either amp. I got them up to a quick 126 db without much tuning using one of those walmart db meters, this was on the hifonics and sorry I don't remember what song I was playing at the time.

I'd really love to get the full 1000 wrms going to these guys. They're in a 2 foot sealed box (after displacement) with no poly. Is it alright to hook each one of the subs up to its own amp even though the amp's are different (then I'll take a multimeter to 'em and set the gains to ~1000 watts at 1 ohm)? There is no partition or wall separating the two subs inside of the box.

Another thing I was wondering is, both of these amps are strappable. Can you strap 2 strappable amps that aren't the same? - And if they are different wattage?
Thanks for all of the help Guys!!

Stappable amps are only to be strapped if you have the exact same amplifier. Do not strap two different amps. Since the amps are different, you will have very odd results if you try to put one amp on one sub and another amp on another sub. You should stuff the enclosure with polyfill the next time you take your subs out because an un-damped / stuffed enclosure is very peaky and doesn't sound a good as a damped enclosure.

Nick is correct - absolutely do not strap two different amps like that. You can damage the amps and at the very least end up with a really messed up sound coming from them.

Thanks so much for the reply guys! It'll probably be a little bit until I take the subs out again, but i will throw some poly in there next time. In the meantime I'll leave em hooked up to the hifonics and see if anyone wants to trade or pick one up off my hands.

Thanks!
