Marcos says he's going to start fitting the amps behind the box in the "boot" now. Hopefully he'll pop on here and give us an update on how he's doing with the install.

BTW: His previous install with 4 15" Mag's did 150 dB @ 20 Hz. Now he has 5 15" Mag's!

Too much IMO, but I have done the samething with massive installs.

Had a wall of 2 Kove u-2 subs in a protege.

A wall of 4 15" Audiobahns, lol!

A nice trunk setup with 4 9500's off 2 modded 1501d's doing 2000rms each.

As much as I miss those, I can't wait to have a mag to pair up with my Alpine SPX's. Should be nice and chill with an umph when needed.

Wow....I was lokie...ok. Until I scrolled back up and saw the @20hz part! I've never heard of a score like that, at that hz!

The Escort is certainly louder

- although the 20Hz score has dropped a bit

O.K. the Old system: 4x 15" Mags & 5000wrms

Measured using my own SPL format for low playing vehicles.

The measurements are taken from the headrest position using a Term Lab pressure sensor.

Total Average ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score = 151.6dB

Peak Freeq= 152.7dB @ 33Hz
40Hz= 150.4dB
33Hz= 152.7dB
25hz= 151.6dB
20Hz= 150.7dB

The new set up

5x 15" Mags - 5x SPLD S1200d Amps

Total Average ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score = 153.2dB

Peak Freeq= 155.3dB @ 32Hz
40Hz= 154.2dB
33Hz= 155.0dB
25hz= 152.5dB
20Hz= 149.3dB

There`s plenty more to come. 156dB+ I think, and the 20Hz frequencies back into the 150s again...

Got some good news and some bad news.

1st the good news:

In my quest to still hit 150dB @ 20Hz I tuned the box even lower.

I gained 0.1dB on my average score:

Also did 150.8dB @ 20Hz

Dropped a bit on Peak SPL, doing a bit less than 155.0dB but that`s no problem. Can soon sort that out tuning slightly higher until it still does 150dB @ 20Hz & 155dB @ peak.

Total Average ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score =153.3dB

Peak= 154.8dB@ 32Hz
40Hz= 153.7dB
33Hz= 154.7dB
25Hz= 152.9dB
20Hz= 150.8dB
