That's pretty awesome, right there. I had never heard of the formal name "LLT", but I had experimented with something similar in WinISD before. I had been drawn to it because of the opportunity for flatter response and a lower frequency center for the group delay peak.
Upon reading the linked article I'm even more inclined to try this out some day. Did you use that sonotube calculator program, lukas? Also, hobie...goddamn that's an array. =) |

Yup, I used the sonsub.exe program. Make sure you edit the port and endcap info to get the proper measurements. |

(^^^ inside joke)Anyways, they are now solid black from the colored polyester resin. I told the wifey I'll paint them whatever color she wants, but getting her to decide on a color will be next to impossible. They will probably just stay black for now. I'll have more pics up soon and they are almost done. |

The Mag sonotubes are finally almost done. I just realized I am out of 10 gauge speaker wire though, so won't be completely done until I wire everything up. The 15" Mags are mounted and I just need to get some eggcrate foam for the top piece that has the port in it.

The Mag will be downfiring of course and I had planned on using a silicone to seal the top and bottom parts to the sonotube that fits over them. The tolerances are so small though that I have to hammer the top and bottom caps into the sonotube. They aren't coming out unless I REALLY want them to. I think this actually worked out best because they can be taken apart if need be, but it is going to take some force to do it.
