I could just buy some pre made studio monitors, also some people sell kits with speakes and boxes unpainted that you put together yourself, but to save some more coin, thought ide try my hand at making them up myslef. This won't be for a while as im still working on my car AU$3200 so far (US$2400) just on front stage, so funds are running low So if you have any links to some good companies i could look at would be much apreatiated.

I would go with pre-made kits where you get the drivers and the crossovers (maybe build the x-overs if you want to) and assemble the cabinets yourself. Buying a tested/proven design has a LOT of advantages. Sure you could dick around with drivers and crossovers but it takes a LOT of time and money to get things exactly right. Buying a kit saves you a ton of time because someone has already spent their weekends, nights, days, weeks, etc getting it exactly right.
What size speakers are you talking about? Bookshelf speakers? Towers? Huge monsters?

Check out this site....excellent speakers. I always recommend them first. Contact me when you are ready to buy something, they make nice monitor speakers and are coming out with some killer small towers this month.
