Hi, I have an Alpine 9886 w/o imprint. The debate is... should I buy imprint and tune it or should I get the Eclipse 7200 mkii?
What would you do? Opinions and experiences are appreciated! Any other recommendations are welcome as well. Thanks

I spoke to an installer a year ago about imprint. From what I gather, the imprint is quite decent but will never sound better than a proper old fashion hand tune. The other feedback is that Imprint tuning lacks midbass. So if you really got no one to tune the system for you, then go ahead and get the Imprint. Otherwise, its just a gimmick. The 7200 MKii is a great HU for the price with loads of options, but again, proper tuning is still required.

The problem with Imprint is that you can't adjust the sound to your liking when the auto tuning is done.
You'll be better off with the Eclipse or a Pioneer HU. Kelvin
