Make sure you build sealed pods for them or the Revelators will be toast in about a week in the door of a car. The back of the cone is a mildly treated paper and it will go to mush after the first good rain if you don't have it in a sealed pod.

So, 5 months later, I just finished the pods and got the Revs installed...these speakers are absolutely amazing (even on the highway with the top down). No matter what music I throw at them, they just don't stumble or stutter.

They are nice aren't they? The 7's that I have are fantastic.

Too bad I can't fit those in the doors

I barely was able to fit the 5 1/2's with the pods... To get these to fit, I had to build use 1" spacers on the front of the doors and shave the inside of the door panels, and that still only left me with 4-5mm of depth behind the speaker in the pods...lol

I got pretty lucky and already had sealed door pods from the factory. I had to modify them to accept the 7" drivers from their stock 4.5" driver size, but even after the modification my mids BARELY fit in there. It's such a close fit that they have to be turned a particular way or the basket hits on an inside edge.
