Here are pics of the components (missing a 1000D due to deciding to add a 2nd Mag without remembering to add the second 1000D at the same time :lol
![]() Everything in the spare bedroom, waiting to be installed: ![]() SEAS Prestige Tweeters: ![]() SEAS Prestige Woofers: ![]() And we've all seen pics of the Mags already, but here're the 3 sets of speakers together:

Prior to receiving the speakers, my buddy and I started by prepping the door panels for the larger speakers:
Tweeters were covered by a mesh grill and due to space requirements we dremelled out an opening that was later enlarged once I recv'd the speakers: ![]() ![]() At the same time, we took out the mesh covering the woofer location and cleaned up the opening to allow the woofers to fit (stock size is 6.75" with a 2.35" mounting depth, we needed 7" diameter and room for a 3/4" spacer): ![]() ![]() became: ![]() After we pulled the mesh:

Then I started on the amp rack:
Layed out the amps to determine how I wanted them to be positioned (both for aesthetics as well as easiest separation of power and audio wiring): ![]() I marked the board, drilled the holes for amp mounting and wiring, and then shellac'd it to add some measure of weather protection (this is my winter 'beater' after all :lol :![]() I then covered the board with a heavy material with a PVC backing, mounted the amps, and ran as much wiring as I could without the rack being in the truck: ![]()

I'm glad I went with those woofers. I had looked at getting a pair with smaller VC/magnet, Adam from Madisound and I had a conversation on the phone and then through email concerning it. On his advice, I went with the larger VC/magnet woofers and they sound great!

More Pics (yes, that's my GF drilling the holes for grounding the amps and installing the dynamat):

The top/bottom/front of the enclosure is 3/4" MDF, sides are 1/2" MDF. The design serves 2 purposes - 1: it fits perfectly around the tranny hump and seat belt attachment points and 2: breaks up the sides into boards no larger than 6"x11" to reduce the amount of flex without having to add bracing. We used 1 5/8" fine thread drywall screws and Gorilla wood glue to hold it all together and then sealed all edges inside and out with caulk (I like my enclosures bulletproof, ). To seal around the sub, I used thin weatherstripping. No leaks ftw!
Here's at the end of the first day: ![]() ![]() ![]() ^^Board is on top to weight the boards down while the glue sets After the front and top have been installed, waiting for the glue on those pieces to set so I can caulk and install the subs (notice the 8ga connecting the binding posts/Mags in series): ![]() ![]() To make a total load of 2ohms for the strapped 1000D's, I wanted each Mag to be 1ohm and then wired the Mags in a series load to the 1kD's. Due to the size of the wires I was using (12ga x2 inside the enclosure, 8ga from amps to enclosure) I simply wired the voice coils in parallel at the binding posts:

To finish the enclosure, I glued 2" tall feet to the bottom to give the Mags plenty of room for excursion. Here are the enclosure and amp rack installed into the truck (still need to wrap the enclosure with carpet - still deciding what color to use as I'm going to reupholster the interior in short order):
![]() Here's the final wiring off the battery using KnuKonceptz battery terminals and Monster Cable 1/0 to the KnuKonceptz fuse block (3x100amp mini-anl fuses) to a Monster Cable 1/0 to 3x4ga distro block: ![]() From the distro block, I ran 3x4ga KnuKonceptz Colossus Fleks to the amp rack (1 to each of the 1kD's, and 1 split with the KnuKonceptz distro/fuse block to the 50.4's): ![]()

I still have a bit of work left:
1) carpet the enclosure 2) clean up the alarm/remote start wiring mess 3) dynamat the floors/roof/sides of the cab (waiting till I have new carpet for the floor) 4) run new 4ga to the starter and 8ga to the main fuse block 5) upgrade the battery to a D3100 6) getting some ground loop noise out of both 50.4's so I'm going to try regrounding the HU (F buying Eclipse on Ebay, the one in my S that I bought at a dealer has had 0 problems, one in my truck came off eBay and the CD mech doesn't work and I have horrid ground loop issues)
