I am not gonna lie, I wish I knew the prices were gonna be the same for the amp and sub combo as if I just bought them both outright...was hoping for an even more special price on them but I know were getting great products.

Wow yea nice rack JDC! Say do you post over on f150online?
I might have to make a cover like that just for cooling. I have a ton of 120mm 12v panaflo fans I got a deal on a while back that would work pretty good for this. |

[quote=jdc753;3272]That would have been goog to know, if you order the amps now you will most likely still have a good 2-4 week head start before the mags arrive. Should give you at least some time to get stuff installed and sorted out ready to drop the mags in and go.QUOTE]
Ya thats how I saw it to, haha I ordered them yesterday. Hope they get here soon. Also I cant see your amp rack (work firewalls=gay) but I think I saw it before, is it have the motherboard in the middle and 2 amps on the side? Built like a 3-d scalene triangle for your back wall? If so then ya your amp rack is sick! I want to do similiar to that for my f150 back wall, but im not to sure if I can with space and all. Might be stuck to a 2-d wall mount! |

Yup sounds like my amp rack, thanks for the compliments If ya think ya got the room I could help ya out a bit designing it, I think mine is only about 3" deep at the top and about 5" or 6" deep at the bottom and just fits from the floor to the brace below the back window which I think is about 17" off the top of my head. Do you have a crew cab or extended cab F150?

It is an extended cab. once I get the back seat removed I will try and draw something up, I think I want to put in a ventillation system with push-pull method with some 12 volt fans.
As for pictures, dont worry haha Im gonna take a ton. I can show you how we do installs in Texas Heat. aka expect to see a picture of me convulsing on the ground, or some signs of heat stroke. Im jacked up though... jdc753 1 more thing, do you have cab vents on your back wall, and what did you do to treat these if you do. Did you remove them and seal them up, or does your rack cover them up????? Last edited by Black Truck 10; 07-31-2008 at 03:35 PM. |

Yea I got 2 cab vents along the back wall, I could post pictures if ya want but not sure if you would see them. I measured them up and the bottom stuck into the cab more than the top. I ended up trimming off as much as I could from the bottom and this made them only stick into the cab less than 3/4 of an inch. So the back wall of my amp rack has 3/4" runners along the back to space it off the wall and around the vents. The runners also gave me a good way of running a lot of the cable behind the computer area in the middle of the rack.
