nah i actually use the trunk of my car its not just a show setup, and i dont want groceries or bags that might be packed in moving/rolling into the sub, whether the sub is on or not.
Nick, any idea if these will work? anything i should look for in a sub grill? my alternative is to just get some ikea drawer handles (the long ones) and put two around each sub and be done hehe |

We don't know of any grills that will work with the Mag's. The BM's will be able to utilize any normal grill, but the Mag's move too far for normal grills. We're going to test out a few grills after the Mag's come in but as of right now we don't know of any.

quick question (btw i don't know how grills work) couldn't you jsut put the grill on the mag and then put washer (shim) to keep the grill more off of the sub? provided they screw in i guess? b/c if you use shim it would create space for the mag to move? yes no?
just an idea no clue if it is even makes sense? lol! |

If you didn't want to use the gasket (which you probably wouldn't with a grill) you can make a ring that would extend the grill away from the sub. That would work and it wouldn't look too bad either. It would be tricky to mount though. You couldn't mount the sub vertically when you're first screwing it in. But as long as you had the box out and the sub-face horizontal you could position the sub, position the extension ring, and position the grill ring and then use long screws to go through all 3 into the wood / substrate. Then snap on the outter grill and you've got a grill for a Mag.

...if only i had the time to make a custom fiberglass box to fit it in my truck like this guy did... one on each side would do the trick! and no cargo space lost!
but this is what i was thinking over the sub box. should be okay? |
