Same here! That's a nice install! A grill like that will be more than OK to keep the big stuff off the subwoofer.

its almost like a dodge caliber. except bigger and supercharged

haha its a range rover sport. but ya it went right in the wheel well. Another forum member made a carbon fiber re-enforced fiberglass box (1.8 cu ft) for his JL 13W7 and it fits in there too, although its flat on the side rather than still going in. And even that fit!

but those handles are straight off an ikea set! haha pretty funny $3.00 accessory for a $75k vehicle. works good tho.

I alas dont have the time nor the space (live in an apt.) to do this job.

wiat you went rigth into the wheel wells, deer if i am not mistaken isn't there were the tire is suppost to be. and when you go over a bump or pot hole doesn't yoru tire go more into the wheel well? so in the long run couldn't your tire damage the sub in some way? or is it right up and out of the way no interferance lol!

that wasn't my install, that was a forummember's. Its a cavity just above the wheel well. the ground clearance is quite high in this SUV so its not an issue.

This is my new box i'm getting built.

the bracing's got "land rover" in it... this is an older image but you get the idea:

so now to design a good looking subwoofer protector to work w/ this badboy!

Parts Express:12" Bar Grill Chrome

Would this grill work? Leaves quite a bit of room for excursion and screws into the box itself.
