This is a beginner's question that I should know but I've been out of the audio game for awhile.
I currently have 8 gauge power wire ran in my car. The length of it is probably about 7 feet or slightly less. Can I pull off running a combined RMS of about 850 watts? The catch that makes me think I can do it is that 700 of those watts will be powering a BM. Naturally the gain will be kept low since that is past it's rated power handling. Plus I won't be pushing the sub too hard anyway since my front stage is fairly weak at this point. So should I go for it? |
