i like your stech but with a total of 3 battery isnt' that a little over kill? you can probably get away with just one hc2000 rather then 2 1400 you know! unlees you want to swap out the old battery and put a hc1400 in it's place then hook in the other 1400
i don't know i could be wrong but i jsut 3 batter is over kill for 3 amps.

See thats what I thought, but I confirmed it with a local shop, and kinetik website. I need the extra little bit in there because I might add a truckputer come december and I dont want to have to do more electrical upgrades then. I want it to be 1 and done.

As for the sketch (not sure if im hinting sarcasim there or not but I was at work and well not working , so i tried to do it real quick before my boss came over. its not to bad.

hey man it is a good drawing and good job you didn't get caught!

okay now on to your computer you want to add in... how mcuh power is this computer going to pack? like are you running a nvidia 790i mobo, with tri-sli (3 9800 video cards) with 8 gigs of ram? lmao man i am almost postive you don't need any more then 500watts to run this lmoa which = a 1900(that number could be off) power supply need for your whole truck, plus it is a truck so if i am not wrong stuff is already beffed up.

which is why i recommened a hc2000 extra battery, or if you wnt to overkill go with the 2400, rember shops, and company they wnat to sell you stuff, the more stuff the more profit! b/c money makes the world go around!

put it this way they make 740 PLUS shipping and handling for 2 1400 if you buy them retial, and for one hc2400 it is 500 plus shipping and handling saving of 240ish lol.
Kinetik - High Current Car Audio Power Cells

i purchased my kinetic hc2400 off of an forum and i got it for 290 shipped to my door! so just look around and you will be good to go man! other then that i think 2 1400 willl be massive overkill depending on what kind a compute ryou will be running! and since it is a truck pc i don't thin it should be anythign to fanzy, like it isn't a high end gaming machine i mean!

hit me back on this though man

and how much power did you tell them you need btw, like what did you tell them to make them say 2 1400hc? b/c for 2 mags you will need at least 2000 amps right?

+1 for Kicker Hyperflex wire, its a bit more expensive but its amazing how well it works. The best way I can describe it is that it flows like rope, any of the sizes as well as teh RCA cables, they just drop and flow as you coil them up, no kinking at all. They used to be cheaper but look up the PKD1 kit on ebay I picked mine up for I think $70 shipped a few months back but they are up to about $130 now should be enough to get you started to do everything other than speaker wire and RCA cables.

A run down of what you should need would be
1/0 power and ground
Distribution block or 2
Fuse holder around 250-300amp fuse
4awg wire from distribution blocks to amps
16awg speaker wire
maybe some 8awg or even 10awg for your computer PSU depending on the size of it (I have an OPUS 320w and it has 3 16awg wires coming out that I connected to a run of 8awg)
RCA wires probably 6 channels Front (L and R) Rear (L and R) and sub (L and R)

for sizing of the truckputer PSU I will post a few links to some PSU calculators tomorrow when I get to work. For the past 2 weeks or so I have been trying to sort through all my wire of my install lol and it seems I keep forgetting one here and there.

Here is the PSU calculator I used to figure out what I needed.

Questions are in BLUE, not sure if that helps yall but it helps me.

Instead of the 2 hc-1400 batteries, I think im gonna change that do a powermaster d2700. they are 274 shipped to me. [COLOR="blueDo yall think I could do better elsewhere?[/color]

If I change to 1 extra battery that means will only need 2 inline fuses correct? 1 14 inches from my main battery aft positive, and 2nd on my extra battery aft positive or before positive?

Also should i use battery terminals or are the 1/0 o ring connectors good enough? I planned on soldering my wires to the connectors but was unsure if stacking rings on top of eachother was bad or not?

And ya my estimated power supply is roughly 247 and thats using the calculator which I do thank you for posting but its 2 years outdated and doesnt really work to well other than giving me a ball park estimate.

As for the subs, Yes each would do 1000 so im strapping 2-1000d subs to them plus the 100.4 (maybe) which is roughly 2400 watts there and then in the future roughly 250 watts there which brings me close to 2650 +/- 50.

As for wiring, im getting mixed revies on the size of fuses I need, some say 150 because the wire load max??, and some say 250. What am I gonna need?

Also attached is a "simulation" on my wiring and the cost, where can I cut 9cost, and is the kolassus fleks really worth that much (3.40 /ft) or will klmx (1.75/ ft be good alright?

As for auto insulation, Rick said he could get me 3 rolls of his mat+10 yards of closed cell foam+ 3 sprays of adhesive for 460 shipped to me. Is this a good deal, or is secondskin damplifier + luxury liner really that much better to be roughly $200 more?

Other things I can confirm is if I go through with this (I have also considered buying a purebred boxer, and keeping some extra money on the side) then im getting my 250 amp alt from mechman for 349.99, and my box will have a plexi front with either f-150 or ford ethced in it, lit up with a trip of leds across the bottom of the glass. My fronts are still Alpine spr-17s, and rears are some form of Infinity kappas. head unit is still Alpine CDA-7995, and other than that I havent purchased anything else (or havent already owned it).

Sorry for the excessively long post, I just have alot of stuff going on in my head.
