or I have a killer set of Zapco RH13.2's that are brand new.

that PPI would be a great amp and don't worry about "too much power" much easier to turn in down when you have too much, then turn it up when you don't have enough.....and most speakers won't see that pwer all the time.

now, let's back this up a bit and see if we can be more help to you.

what kind of car is this going in?
What are your goals for sound?
what is your budget?
will this be a full custom install (big install budget)? or simple speakers and sub?
what equipment do you currently have?
if you had to make a choice between booming bass, getting loud or crystal clear sound, which one would you choose?

these will help in finding you a setup that will work

to answer your questions it is going into a 95 grand am

my goal for sound is to be able to hear words when my 2 subs (mag v4) are turned all the way up. i don't wnat the subs to kill the sound and i don't wnat the sound to kill the subs! make sense?

my buget is under 500 around 475 ish! i don't wnat crap, i want something that will be nice! and no i will nto be goign to spl shows jsut wnat to impress the next girl! lol!

as for a full custom install i am leanign towards a yes! only b/c i will have to mod the doors with a mdf ring around the mids.

my current stuff i have is, 1 orion 400.2, kinetik 2400, 2 sundown 1000d, and 2 mags on order.

if i had to choose i would choose the ability to get loud.

i was looking to buy an sundown 100.4 and using that amp to run my rear speakers, and a component set. those zapco rh13.2 tell me a little about them. and p/m a price!

Would be the set I have gotten if I stayed in the game.
i second that. they are hard to beat for the price!

No CDT's? I'm in the market for some high end splits as well, i listened to some $400 CDT's and they sounded better (to me) than the DLS and Focals of the same price, haven't got around to listening to Rainbow or Hertz yet. I'm going to spend $700 though (had nothing that high on display) maybe it changes as you get higher?

The DLS's didn't have enough mid for me, the Focals a bit to much overshadowing the vocals to much for my liking, but the CDT's were spot on, again this was in the $400 range.

Been looking around is CDT going under or something? Several sites and stores are clearing out CDT stock.

How about Phass, Dynaudio, or Boston?

I have CDT top of the line ES. Excellent set, but a bit mellow in the upper midrange and midbass is strong. Tweeters are soft dome, but in no way mellow, they are pretty bright for a soft dome. I really had to work on them to tone them down on a bright HU Alpine matched with a bright Steg amp.

The other day at the SQ comp, I heard a car with Hertz MLK165's in the front, High Energies in the rear, and Mille 2x10" subs sealed. The cabin speakers were ran on the new model Audison Lrx and the subs were on Audison Vrx Chrome Edition big mono. The car sounded incredible.

Components need no introduction, as everyone seems to love them. I was especially surprised with the subs. They have a very good SQ sound to them similar sonic signature as DLS Nobeliums and Aurasounds and boy did they still pound on the Vrx amp. I have not heard the v4 Mags yet, but I am hoping the Mags are similar in sonic signature to these three subs, as I have not heard more musical subs than these three and they are currently my top three subs in SQ category with some cojones with Aurasound being the least loud of three. I also heard a Morel Ultimo sub, and was very impressed, but I wish I had listened to it longer to form an opinion, but it seems to be on the same level.

Hertz makes some nice sounding comps no doubt about it. A friend has hi- energy front comps, 2 JL 10w6's (ported) and JL slash amps (450/4 & 1000/1). The set up sounds increadible.

I was fortunate to hear some HAT L1's (8, mid and tweet) on the weekend. All I can is WOW!!!! HAT definitely became my favourite front set up!!! The detail on these is simly amazing....yes better than the hertz
