just picked up GTA4 yesterday for 360 and i must say it truly has lived up to the hype they truly put alot of time and effort in and made detail a huge factor which in the end makes you love the game even more i was a lil shakey with the controls at first but after a hour or two of gameplay i have it down now this is by far the best GTA i have owned

Humm, I haven't played my xbox in well over a month, lol! And I haven't played an actual game on my PS3 in awhile as well. Just use it for movies in most cases. I may have to take the plunge and get the new GTA.

GT5 looks promising as well.

Well, I beat the main story line last week. I hate to say it, but IMO, the game is disappointing for the platform capabilities and the hype. I would have been happier with a re-hashed San Andreas with different missions.

I agree that It wasn't all it could have been, but I feel like there is a good game in there somewhere. I got the impression it was rushed in the end, I mean there is so much potential with the way the game is set up. I guess I feel like the "story" aspect of the game could have been better. Most of the missions were kind of dull and boiled down to driving and shooting all to often for a game where the driving and shooting don't play all that well. Targeting system is still weak, cars handle better than San Andreas but still not good, motorcycles should be a lot faster etc...

RPG's cost way to much. Taxis always change lanes when you're flying down the freeway in the "middle" lane. You always see a lot of the same car you're driving. There aren't enough cars. The camera control around corners is ridiculous. The cops, bad guys etc. are either terrible shots and stand in open or sneak up behind you and get with one shotgun blast. Some cars blow up really easy others don't no matter how much you shoot them. If you go to the roof of a tall building the game doesn't render pedestrians anymore so no sniping. Anyways, back to work....
