hey guys i just took a peak at my truck and took some pics and used a card board box and made a dummy sub box to find out my sizes i can fit and what not!
anyways here we go take a look at the pics and let me know what everyone thinks! you should be able to make everything out in those pics! as you can see i have my kinetik hc2400 wired and i welded and painted a steal angle iron base for it with a bungy cord to hold it down and soem screws under it also. you can also see my orion 400.2 which i wil be switchign with a sundown 100.4 once i get it ordered that will help power my new component speakers and my current 6x9(if i need them) thanks for looking and give me some feedback on this or if you have a better idea! thanks o btw max height is 15inch and max behind the wheel well is 14. Kenneth 1.JPG ya those dimensions are 15hX14wX8.25depth (max 42inch long) 2.JPG 3.JPG 4.JPG Last edited by CrazyKenKid; 08-12-2008 at 09:00 PM. |

so i was looking at how much mdf i will be needing and it turns out i will need 12piece total and here are the sizes i think i will need, but it seems a little screwy ( i am using 3/4 mdf)
13.5x12.5 (front & back) 13.5x11.75 (left & right) 11.75 x 14 (top & bottem) and my internal deminsions will be 12.5x13.5x10.25 = 1cubic of space does that seem right to everyone? then i will need to buy 2lb of poly fill! correct? and i will also need a tube of cocking. i think i got it all let me know if i missed something or i screwed something up with my size's thanks Ken |

hey guys! i am all done cutting out the sub cut out and what not! i used a CNC bridgeport to do it lol! It only took a grnad total of 3-4mins to do it lol and 5mins for set up and clean up lol! fun times! take a look at the pics! lol
and yes i had to write the program lol it was quite easy to do! it is a conversational controller! so it is easy you tell it what it wants to know lol!! ll 11.jpg the only think i don't like is how the sub will be hanging out of the box a little! i wish i had more truck space lol! 12.jpg program is easy to write all you need to know is speeds and feeds! lol! 13.jpg 14.jpg that machine is fast and set-up was easy 15.jpg and yes that is my dvd collection |

Looks pretty good, hard to tell in the pics, just some covering or painting and should be good to go.
Would love to have access to a CNC machine, oh the possibilities.

lol ya that that is a 1inch fly cutter! lol that things is fast! 150 inch / minute and 2500 rpm lol. it works quite well. and yes i could have used a smaller end mill but but that i would have to worry about heat since i was going though 1.5inch and normaly end mills are only 1inch long! so i just use what i have and it works good! plus it looks kewl!
