I know the mag already works well in a pretty small enclosure 0.8-1ft^3 however what if I were to drop it down to about 0.5ft^3 and be fairly liberal on the polyfill stuffing? I know I may be asking for too much but I would like to know how small I can go within means before I start to make a terrible home for my new subs.
I am planning on putting 2 new mags in between my front seats and I believe I have enough room to go up to maybe 3 cubes if I go from the back of the seats all the way up to the dash, however I would like to avoid going all the way up to the dash so I can slide across from drivers to passenger and vice versa. I would like to keep the box as small as I can for a pair and not drop to a single sub but I guess I could always do that too if necessary.

That should work fine if the woofer will still fit in the box

0.5 is a bit small for the Mag v4. It will work, but you're going to sacrifice the low-end quite a bit. If you can go 0.8 ft^3 per driver and stuff it will 0.8 lbs per woofer, that will perform much better.

maybe I will just play a sound bite of a diesel engine running in loop with the new mags. Wonder how well they will reproduce the engine sound, hope my tweeters can reproduce a good turbo whistle
![]() ![]() I will push for at least 1.6ft^3, guess it all depends on how big the box will be overall. Last thing I want to do is compromise the sounds of the mags though. I'm thinking 2 cubes won't be that hard to get though, all depends on how much height I can get.

JDC I was looking at the boxes on supercrewsound.com and they have a model that fits behind the rear seat and can hold 3 12's shallow mounts. .45-.55 cf per sub.
SuperCrewSound - F-250 / F-350 Crew Cab 99-08 BTS Triple Subwoofer box Just throwing this out there just in case you haven't looked to mount back there. I'm sure you can build a custom and get more just going dual BM12's

hmm that looks pretty good, thanks for the tip. I'm sure I could build something pretty similarly. I had looked into doing something behind the seat and there didn't seem to be many options, short of the new BM's or a few select 10's and such. I ended up deciding I can loose the middle jump seat to open up my selection of subs and such.
Here is what I got going behind the seat at the moment. ![]() I kinda just enjoy building things lol, when the new BM's come out I may see what I could do about squeezing 4 of them behind the seat with a bit of fiberglass work and moving the amps to below the seat.

hmm your truck is a 4 door supercrew right? I bought an LMI seat lift which raised the rear seat 3". Then I installed my BM12's under the seat. They have around 1.5 f^3 each.
Here's a photo of my box out of the truck before sealing: ![]() installed: ![]() I think if you did something like I did along with your amp rack and a pair of mags you'd really be thumping!
