Thank you for the reply. I purchased the sub online from an outfit in Texas about 2 yrs ago and had it in a 3.0cf sealed enclosure. I love this sub and it sounds incredible powered by a JL 1000/1 in my 06 Magnum. My car was flooded and all my audio equipment has been removed un damaged. I will be getting a new vehicle and will be looking at the new Mags down the road for smaller enclosure options.
I would like to incorporate the Mag into my HT set up to not only utelize the speaker but to even out the LFE in my listening room. Two subs is always better than one IMO. The Axiom sub sounds good and I'm sure the Mag will help fill any voids(or vice versa) when level matched with the other sub. I am much more concerned about the music listening quality than the HT effect. If you feel the Mag will shine in a 3.5cf ported enclosure then I on it. Question is...do you think the ED LT/1300 plate amp will be a good source of power for the sub and enclosure or would the LT/500 be better suited. I don't really have the room for a rack amp.
What would your honest opinion be on the performance of the Mag in the Parts Express Dayton 3cf sealed box from the link I added? This would be the easiest route for me. I would need to obtain plans for a 3.5cf ported box and I am not a highly skilled woodworker. Not to mention adding black vinyl to the enclosure could be a pita. I do have the some experience and the tools but no necessarily the time right now. Thanks
