You're going to SAVE a lot of wood by switching over to the new version but you're going to lose a lot of SPL. Ported older BM's are going to be MUCH louder than the new neo sealed-only shallow versions. However, since you're running your drivers sealed, the SPL will be similar but the distortion will be a LOT less, which is / can be mis-interpreted as not as loud. Distortion = perceived loudness, so we can't help you in that department. The new neo BM's do provide great output and sound quality not currently offered by shallow subwoofers though.
