Some of us, especially with pickups, have very limited options when it comes to a quality sub setup. Most subs that will fit either don't play well in small airspace or just don't play the sub-bass -40 hz~ish and below- with any authority, from all the ones I've heard.
A 2-3-4 month wait for just a couple cosmetic upgrades, IMO, isn't worth it for those of us who have been waiting forever, because this sub is practically more of a need than just a want for another option. Basically, there are no shallows that should compare to this.

I agree.
With 14mm of one-way linear excursion and a price tag well under $300, there's not much that will compete with it. And for that matter, there's not much that will compete with it for under the $500 price tag.
