Beating out the Maelstrom-X from an SQ standpoint is going to be TOUGH to do!!!! I don't see any other driver beating that sucker (the Maelstrom) out. XBL^2, shorting rings, and the rest of the package makes complete sense from an SQ standpoint. You've got
more linear stroke,
and much lower inductance. If you're not after balls-out SPL, the Maelstrom is the logical choice.
