I just posted this over on ca.com:
The rl-i is only rated for around 500 watts RMS, so putting 600-1000 on it might cause some issues with its 2" coil. If you have right at 1000 watts, you can't (shouldn't) send that to the rl-i but you can send it to the Mag. Being able to send a driver double the power compared to another is a 3 dB gain.
The inductance on the rl-i is 5 times higher than the Mag and its rated Xmax is about the same as a Mag, although it's not as linear as an XBL^2 driver. Mounting depth is the same on the SS 10" as the Mag 12" though.
