Just because the drivers don't move a lot doesn't mean they're immune to non-linear BL and/or suspension distortion. If that were the case, PA bass drivers would rule the SQ lanes. The reason for your big ported box requirement is a direct result of the drivers parameters, and some of that is the reduced stroke and high efficiency (high BL, short coil, very light moving mass, tight suspension, etc).

It sounds like you're perfectly happy with your strokers, so what is your question? You didn't really outline any criteria about what you're looking for other than saying that you're happy with your strokers. Are you looking to reduce your box size? Do you still want to reach 147 dB no matter what? Do you care about weight at all? Are you looking for better sound quality? Worse sound quality but louder?
