Run 16v batteries and a 16v charging system... like my Jeep:
Those two silver modules are DC step-up modules to charge my 16v bank from a 12v system. Alternatively you can use an adjustable regulator alternator to charge the 16v bank and use a step-down module to run the car.
I opted to leave the 12v system alone and use these modules
