Ah, so Ford got into that business as well. I had a 91 olds cutlass supreme with the 3.4 and it was listed as a 3 hour job in the mechanic's book. It also had to have a front wheel removed.
It's nice to now have an SUV with the Alt perched right on top.
Sorry about your bad luck Hawk. But I'm confused about the alt that Mechman suggested. To me it sounds like they just want to give you ONE alternator, not two for a dual setup? Maybe I'm mistaken though, I'm not familiar with their setups. But it's hard to believe that nobody wants to make you a bracket. It's just machining a piece of metal! Why do they refuse, that's crazy. Lazy bums.
