I think you might have misunderstood the problem. The screw heads are too big for the rubber gasket to lay flush against the subwoofer. It won't hurt the performance of the subwoofer if you use the provided screws, but it won't look real attractive. The easiest way to fix this is to go to any hardware store and pick up some screws with a flatter head.

OOO that makes sense! i understand now! lol! thanks for clearing that up for me! so basically wrong style of screw was used but not the screw's threads diameter only the head! thanks for clearing that up for me!
