I might have to resort to Koda 8's if either of my Koda 6.5's go south. It's taken me a LONG time to track down a good set of these puppies. Unless something drastic happens to them they should be good-to-go though. I've got steep x-over slopes on them and the right amount of power so they should be OK. I put my previous set through HELL accidentally (ran them full range with over 250 watts) and they lasted quite a while. Well...that was my second set of Koda's. The first set had burned voice coils due to a Hifonics amplifier failure. So I'm on set #3 now.
PS: Chick Corea's
Light Years has really good midbass and a lot of cool / intricate sounds. If you don't have it in your collection I highly recommend picking it up.
